Minimum sea level pressure estimates are graphed by interpolating ODT values (usually at 1-3 hour intervals). Reconnaissance aircraft measurements are drawn in a similar manner for comparison. Operational Dvorak estimates are plotted, with the symbols indicating the tropical analysis center responsible for the estimate. The performance statistics for the storm (relative to the aircraft validation) are indicated on the figure, in hPa. 'Sample' refers to those estimates from the ODT and TAC which were considered for the statistics (aircraft report within +/- one hour). TAFB is the Tropical Analysis and Forecast Branch at the NCEP/Tropical Prediction Center, SAB is the NOAA/NESDIS Satellite Analysis Branch, AFGWC is the Air Force Global Weather Center.
