reconnaissance is employed.
- Statistics in the Western Pacific, Indian Ocean, and Southern Pacific utiize the
JTWC Working Best Track information for intensity and position information. No
contingency on aircraft reconnaissance is employed.
- Statistics are ADT minus Best Track.
- Atlantic storms include WMO Basin ID value "L".
- East Pacific storms include WMO Basin ID values "E" and "C".
- West Pacific storms include WMO Basin ID value "W".
- South Pacific storms include WMO Basin ID values "P" and "S".
- Indian Ocean storms include WMO Basin ID values "A" and "B".
- Intensity histogram bins are centered upon the value specified.
